Jean George Dubai Four Seasons

So no more holiday until July, cousins who came down and made me experience Dubai like a tourist have gone back, summer is here and its almost Ramadan…. Sigh! Just when I thought I didn’t have anything fun to look forward to I remembered about JGs Kitchen that I added to my list but hadn’t had a chance to visit….So I take off to Four Seasons

Doing complete justice to the hype and the anticipation that we all experienced  many weeks prior the opening, we entered the restaurant greeted by stunning hostesses and proceeded to JG’s Kitchen.

What we ordered
– Tuna Tartare, Avocado and Radish Ginger Marinade and Chili Oil
– Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese
– Cod with Miso-Yuzu glaze and Green Asparagus
– Grilled Beef Tenderloin
– Salted Caramel Ice cream Sundae with candied peanuts and popcorn
– Tres Leche Cake
– Cookie Plate

We ordered the tuna salad and the truffle pizza for starters. The salad which was very refreshing and the dash of ginger added to the zing. The Pizza! Out of this world !! Crispy ,creamy with delicious truffle and quite light, I still had lots of space for the mains.

For our main course we ordered the tenderloin and the cod, needless to say they both very spectacular. Steak so juicy and delicious that we couldn’t help but order another one (…and this is coming from me, who’s not  quite a steak fan ). The cod was served with asparagus, very well cooked, and a bit tangy. I quite enjoyed it but it wasn’t like one of those Japanese cods that I would order again or have an entire serving myself.

Since my friends and I are the kinds to plan the whole dinner and what we order and how much we eat around the kind of desserts we need to save space for, we checked up the dessert menu right in the beginning and it was no small list ( big grin !! )
Out of 8 listed, it was only fair to order at least 3 , so we ordered the no brainer salted caramel ice-cream served with peanuts and popcorn, pics of which all over Instagram will express more than what I say, but in one simple line ….This dessert has absolutely no competition, PERIOD!
The Tres Leche cake, I’ve recently developed a taste for it, so indeed loved the JG version of it served with a raspberry merengue on top. Anything raspberry for me is always a winner.
Cookies – slightly overrated , or may be because it was put in the same ring as the caramel ice cream it under performed to expectations.

All in all, loved this experience and can’t wait to visit JG’sDining Room next.
